We flew out of Salt Lake City, UT early Tuesday morning after having a very successful and enjoyable exhibiting experience at the 2016 ASAE Annual Meeting. The American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) is the top association meeting in the US and runs like a well-oiled machine. We met so many attendees, exhibitors, presenters, potential 3rd party partners, and competitors. In addition, the location, food, and transportation were also amazing! 🙂
A Couple of Key Take-Aways
- The association space is consolidating quickly. Associations, LMS and AMS technology companies, and other organizations are merging and/or finding unique ways to partner together.
- New revenue models are being developed such as new membership levels, targeting of non-member revenue, VIP categories, subscription-based content, and limited time access to premium content and benefits, and much more.
- Older, more traditional models of membership engagement tactics (e.g., membership surveys, focus groups) are taking a back-seat to new, more relevant strategic initiatives.
Clearly, we see our continued advancement and innovation of EthosCE Learning Management System (LMS) in perfect alignment with these strategic points and we look forward to our new partnerships.
See you in Toronto ASAE 2017 Meeting!
BTW…the “Best Destination Location Booth” was the City of Louisville: Their booth was an actual BBQ joint! Great stuff.
