DLC Solutions is seeking an in-house cloud engineer to join our Center City Philadelphia team.
The cloud engineer is responsible for the ongoing design and operational management of our AWS cloud environments, which are used to host EthosCE, a web-based application that provides vital continuing education to millions of doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
Working with the oversight of the CTO and the systems architect, the cloud engineer uses AWS and other products to ensure that customers and staff have access to mission-critical applications and systems necessary to meet and exceed their goals. The cloud engineer evaluates vendors, products, and processes and makes recommendations for additions and improvements to the cloud infrastructure. The cloud engineer is responsible for the hands-on implementation and management of the cloud environment.
The cloud engineer is responsible for security and disaster recovery of the AWS environments and participates in audits, including PCI and SOC 2.
The ideal candidate would enjoy working independently in a small company, have experience supporting web-based products, actively seek out problems and opportunities, and be focused on automation, cost reduction and process improvement. We are more interested in a technically savvy, driven and quick-learning team member than we are in any particular technology experience.
This is a mid-level position and 5 years experience is required. Although some maintenance tasks may require off-hours work, this is a 9-5 position with flexible working hours possible.

- AWS: EC2, S3, EFS, RDS, Aurora,
- Elasticsearch (ELK)
- Openshift (container orchestration)
- RESTful web services (XML, JSON)
- Shell scripting (Bash)
Strong experience with Linux and AWS in a production environment are required.
DLC Solutions produces EthosCE, a learning management system for continuing education in the healthcare professions. EthosCE is used by universities, insurance companies, associations and corporations to train healthcare professionals world-wide.
